BS'D
It is May,2006. I am in Israel with my Mom (77, kin eina hora). We just got back from NBN to get my forms for Aliyah. We are here for my youngest daughter's wedding. While sitting with me, my Mom, who still drives and stays up until all hours, asks the nice man...'Would they accept me?' This came from the clear blue. This was not only her first trip to Israel, but it was her first trip across the ocean. The Nefesh b Nefesh man looked at her with mock sterness and said 'Are you Jewish?' My Mom looked shocked. She replied...'I am her mother..of course I am Jewish'. So, he politely pulled out another set of forms and we went on our way. On the way back to where we were staying I started to ask what brought this on, but she stopped me and said...'I just like it here'
So, back to my ever so calm Kallah....Yeah right..there is an oxymoron....
Well, my other daughters arrive tomorrow and my Tzadik comes the next day (YEAH!).
To be continued.....
